Josh Newman is the sun twin. He is also the twin of Sophie, the moon twin. His aura is golden, and he was a wielder of Clarent, the sword of fire. He has the gift of strategy from Mars Ultor, the Roman god of war.
In "The Necromancer", he molded his Aura without any training. Even though Perenelle has stated that Sophie is more powerful than Josh, he seems to be more powerful. In "The Warlock, he sided with Dr. John Dee.
